Day trip from Oslo to Kistefos and Hadeland Glassworks by car
The small municipality of Jevnaker has two of Norway's most interesting museums for contemporary art, Kistefos and Hadeland Glassverk. A day trip here gives you fantastic art experiences in spectacular surroundings! You get to Jevnaker by driving via Sandvika towards Hønefoss on the E16 to Jevnaker. Kistefos and Hadeland Glassworks are only a 10-minute drive away from each other. Here you can experience "The Twist" at Kistefos and Hadeland Glassverk where you can learn how Norwegian glass is produced.
Hadeland Glassverk
Hadeland Glassverk (Hadeland Glassworks) is an experience center for the whole family and Norway's oldest industrial company with continuous operation, based on history, art, culture, and handicraft traditions. At the same time as Hadeland Glassverk manages a rich history and cultural heritage, the company also focuses on product development and innovation for the future. In the area you will find an experience center where exhibitions, lectures and concerts are held as well as five different eateries that serve a varied selection of delicious dishes. There are also many shops where you can buy glass, porcelain, decor, and high-quality gifts.

Kistefos
Kistefos is an impressive cultural destination where architecture, art, and history merge together. A short walk along the Randsfjord from Hadeland Glassverk, you will find Nesbakken – the center of Jevnaker.
Except for Vinmonopolet, the grocery stores and pharmacies, you won't find a single chain store on Nesbakken - only unique niche stores and the service industry that focuses on high-quality service. Here you will find something exciting no matter who you are. We especially recommend the street art of M.u.M Flora y Fauna which is painted on one of the walls right in the center.
