Large pike and perch or the biggest trouts in northen Europe – our region offers a variety of fishing.
The inland fishing area of the Gjøvik region, Hadeland and Ringerike is between 45 and 90 minutes from Oslo.
Boasting some of Norway’s greatest lakes – Mjøsa, Randsfjorden and Tyrifjorden; the smaller lakes of Einafjorden, Steinsfjorden, Sperillen and Jarenvatnet; as well as rivers and small ponds – our region offers endless opportunities for fishing. In Mjøsa alone you can catch 20 different species of fish, and this is just one lake among many.
Fishing is an all-year activity here as ice fishing is possible in many of our lakes in the winter.
As a rule, fishing is permitted from 1 May until 1 or 15 September, with the exception of Randsfjorden, where fishing is permitted all year round.
