History and cultural heritage in East Norway
Norwegian history runs deep in East Norway
The saga of Halvdan Svarte who drowned in the Randsfjorden, pilgrims, the akewit's father Christopher Blix Hammer, clergy and travelers - many have left their mark on us.
Walk the Pilgrimsleden over Hadeland and Toten and take a breather in the hills at Granavolden or the Peder Balke Center at Østre Toten. A slow sea journey aboard Skibladner or visit Prøysenhuset in memory and honor of our all Alf Prøysen. Our many attractions tell stories from ancient to modern times and the Finnskogen is a fantastic hiking terrain with historical roots.
Come along for the ride!
