About the Region

In our region we offer a variety of activities that are suitable for families with children. On the railway to Valdres you can travel by draisine, on the science centre in Gjøvik you can lift a car, you can blow your own glass at Hadeland Glassworks in Jevnaker, and you can experience a bat-safari in the Mine Museum at Grua.

Gjøvik can tempt you with it’s chocolate factory, and after a visit here maybe you will need some exercise? Why not take part in a Iron Age role-play in the at Hringariki Cultural Heritage Park? Or you can relive memories from your childhood and share them with your own kids at The Doll Museum at Kapp or at the Cartoon Museum in Brandbu.

If you like swimming and playing in the water, visit the waterworld Totenbadet in Raufoss. We also have bowling, a play world for children, cinemas, climbing park and shows for children. We recommend the Rocking Frogs at Gladtvedt pier in Hønefoss.
