Day trip from Oslo to the historical Hadeland

Just one hour north of Oslo, you can visit one of Norway's most beautiful cultural landscapes, Hadeland. Take RV 4 from Oslo via Gjelleråsen and on towards Gran. Turn off Gran towards Granavollen, here you'll find a fillet of the Hadeland cultural landscape and enough experiences to last a whole day.

Glasslåven Art Center
At Glasslåven you can experience current contemporary art and traditional handicrafts. Glasslåven houses exhibitions, a gallery shop, and is a living place where new art is created. The converted barn from the 19th century is an experience in itself, and is a pilot building for sustainable architecture.

The Sister Churches at Granavollen
The two medieval churches on Granavollen, Søsterkirkene are an impressive landmark high and free above the village and have an exciting history. The churches are open for visits in the summer, and you can join a guided tour.

A wonderful trip to Sølvsberget from Granavollen
