Tour description and experiences along the way
In combination with route no. 6, this becomes a nice 2-day trip. A medium-demanding tour that can be cycled both ways and can be combined and adapted depending on the destination you are cycling to or from. Quite a climb at the start from Harestua, but primarily hard-packed dirt roads without much traffic. With an electric bike, the tour is medium-demanding. If you ride a regular bike, it will probably be experienced as demanding at the start due to the difference in height.
The trip is listed on the Cycle Map for Hadeland. The map can be bought from local hotels, or ordered from the tourist office in Gjøvik - tel. 611 46 710.
The 'Fritidshubben' in Harestua rents out good e-bikes. Here you can also buy (bicycle) maps.

You first cycle through some forest past Mylla and Svea, where there is a lovely swimming area, before reaching a beautiful area with summer farms and small farms. From here it's only downhill until you cross the E16 and continue over quiet country roads to the old Lunner church. Here it is worth taking a short break to enjoy the calm and the chirping of birds before you continue north in the direction of Granavollen.
Granavollen offers many sights, so make sure you plan your trip so that you have time to visit the Sister churches, the Tent House, Glasslåven and Granavolden Gjæstgiveri.
