About
Welcome to Vitensenteret Innlandet, the science center in the middle of Gjøvik.
Families are welcome to play, cooperate, share experiences, and ask questions about the world around us.
Visitors can be a shop owner, logging wood in the forest, building a house on our construction site, or
being a weather forecaster on the TV screen.
This is your chance to challenge Mum to a mind battle, find out if you can scream louder than Dad, play
“Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” on our piano stairs, and see how fast you can run 10 metres.
You can even lift a car!
If you prefer more quiet activities, there’s a dedicated section with puzzles, board games and math activities
for all ages. Maybe the youngest kids will enjoy exploring the farm in our farming section?
You will be greeted by our staff in the reception area (which includes a cafeteria and gift shop), and in the main
area upstairs.
Openinghours:
Vitensenteret Innlandet is open for visitors on Saturdays, Sundays all year, and every day during school holidays
(11:00AM – 4:00PM).
On weekdays, we are visited by pre-booked groups, such as schools, kindergartens, companies and organisations.
