About
Ridevegen in Sønde LandRidevegen is an old bridle path which is part of a 25 km round trip through one of the oldest settlements in Søndre Land. Ancient remains dating back to the Iron Age: graves, clearance cairns, a holloway and crofters’ farms. The bridle path was described by Bishop Nilssøn in 1594; the old lane from Gjøvik to Fluberg was a main route until 1860.
Changing landscape with spruce forests, meadows, marshes, bluebell hills, lush woods, cultural landscape, farms and fantastic viewpoints. Gravel lanes and forest paths. Information posters.
