Day trip from Oslo to Nes and Helgøya - In the middle of Lake Mjøsa
Helgøya is Mjøsa's largest island and the beautiful cultural landscape here and at Nes in Ringsaker attracts many travelers and cultural enthusiasts. From Oslo, take the E6 north to Brumunddal and turn towards Nes. Here, experiences are like pearls on a string.

A stop here is to recommend. In a converted barn on the farm, Edel Urstad designs and produces beautiful garments in only pure natural materials, wool, silk, linen, and hemp. Here is also a very nice shop where you get the very best service you can think of!
Infoteket (Tourism Information Centre) - bicycle and kayak rental
Before you drive over the bridge to Helgøya you will find a summer tourist office where you will be advised the best adventure spots and routes, and here you can rent kayaks and electric bikes. A good tip is to rent an electric bike and cycle around beautiful Helgøya.

Hovelsrud Farm - Beautiful garden and unique accommodation
Located almost entirely on the southern tip of Helgøya and is a producer of organic chicken in addition to the fact that they have a wonderfully beautiful historic garden. Here you can stop by the small farm shop that has chicken products, apple juice and other locally produced small-scale products. Helgøya Climbing Park
If you like airy experiences, you should visit Helgøya Climbing Park, which is located in fantastically beautiful surroundings on the west side of Helgøya. The climbing park is the Inland's largest and consists of 14 trails, 20 ziplines and a total of 160 climbing elements.
