'Hønehuset' - Nordre Raknerud

Stay the night at the beautiful Helgøya island in the heart of Mjøsa, in the welcoming, newly refurbished Hønehuset at Nordre Raknerud farm. Helgøya, Norway’s largest freshwater-lake island, is a little piece of heaven on earth.

The ‘Hønehuset’ cabin has Helgøya Climbing Adventure Park close by, and is within easy reach of numerous other attractions at Nes and Helgøya. In terms of standard, the cabin is basic and homely! It is ideal for groups of friends, a large family or perhaps several families together, and has a dormitory with 10 beds on the first floor. The kitchen is basic, but is equipped with cooker, oven, microwave oven – and swing (!).

Its hosts – Elisabeth and Bjørn – live right across the road, and like to be on hand to ensure that all guests are properly looked after.
