Train and bicycle
Mjøstråkk leads through all the five Mjøsa towns, and each of these can also be reached by train. Hamar, Brumunddal, Moelv, and Lillehammer are located along the Drammen-Lillehammer stretch forming part of the Dovre Line to Trondheim.
It is possible to bring your bicycle on the train. Remember to reserve a space for your bike at vy.no or via the app if you are using a regional service or the Gjøvik Line. For local train services, bikes are paid for on board.

Bus and bicycle
The Mjøsa region has an excellent bus network, and most services are run by Innlandstrafikk. If you plan to use a bus operated by a different company (primarily long-distance express services), we recommend checking in advance to make sure that you can bring your bike.
When is it possible to bring bicycles on buses operated by Innlandstrafikk?
• For regional or express services, when there is room in the baggage compartment.
• On local services, when there is room in the wheelchair/pram area and the bike can be secured using straps. All local services are equipped with straps for prams, and these are to be used for bicycles as well.
How much does it cost to take your bicycle on the bus?
• Fixed price when travelling on a single ticket (NOK 25)
• When travelling on a valid season ticket, a bicycle can be taken on board free of charge if there is room.
Drivers are encouraged to take a positive approach and find a good solution for those wishing to bring their bike on the bus.
