About
Welcome to Fru G and its friendly shop with countryside café and idyllic garden – an experience not to be missed!
Fru G enjoys a rural setting, but is still only 5 minutes from route E6 and also within easy reach of Ringsaker church. The building from 1850 is a former coaching inn, country store and banqueting hall, and today one of its beautiful rooms serves as a charming shop. Among the items on sale are our own unique products from FigurMakeriet. These are gifts / home accessories such as sculptures, candleholders etc. Also on sale are seasonal produce from own garden, and gourmet food items from local producers. In the autumn, our home-baked rye bread and other bakery products are available from the shop.
Countryside café
The house also comprises a café and function rooms. We have let the “building decide” its interior design, and have decorated with old-world furnishings and artefacts. Your coffee is of course served from old porcelain coffee pots.
Weather permitting, you can enjoy lunch, coffee and homemade treats by the pond in our idyllic garden – or treat yourself to a bit of luxury with Fru G`s Æftas-Te in surroundings that are as made for a traditional English afternoon tea (NB! Æftas-Te must be booked two days in advance).
The garden pavilion is our own little "chambre separee", and is ideal for groups of up to 10 people looking for somewhere a bit more secluded.
FigurMakeriet:
Visit FigurMakeriet at Fru G!
From 1994 to 2007, our articles were sold to gift and interior design shops all over Norway. At FigurMakeriet, you get an insight into the process from
idea to finished pieces available in our shop.
KunstVerkstedet:
Find inspiration with a visit to the art workshop at Fru G and its selection of paintings, collages, and installations. Many of the works are by the hosts themselves, but there are also the occasional guest exhibitors at the gallery.
Welcome, we hope you have an enjoyable time here with us!
Your hosts, Vivi-Ann and Asbjørn Gjersing
